Strengthening Health Systems & Implementation Initiative
CAdHSI is committed to enhancing preparedness and strengthening health systems in both LMICs and underserved U.S. communities. Our approach addresses health disparities, workforce shortages, and systemic barriers that limit disease surveillance, emergency response, and equitable healthcare access. By integrating evidence-based strategies, technology, and policy advocacy, we equip communities and health systems to anticipate, prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from health threats effectively.
Key Components
-
Integrated Disease Surveillance & Data Interoperability
-
In LMICs, we strengthen national and regional surveillance systems to improve early disease detection and outbreak response.
-
In underserved U.S. communities, we enhance local and state-level disease surveillance by improving data interoperability for timely tracking and response to infectious and chronic diseases while driving disease prevention through research, awareness, and advocacy.
2. Equitable Health Supply Chains
- In LMICs, we optimize medical supply distribution to ensure equitable access to essential medicines, vaccines, and diagnostics in remote and underserved areas.
-
In underserved U.S. communities, we address medical supply gaps in rural and low-income urban areas, ensuring reliable access to healthcare resources, emergency supplies, and life-saving interventions.
3. Policy & Advocacy for Health Equity
-
In LMICs, we work with governments and stakeholders to implement evidence-based policies that strengthen health security and emergency preparedness.
-
In underserved U.S. communities, we collaborate with local health departments, policymakers, and advocacy groups to eliminate systemic healthcare barriers and ensure equitable policies and funding mechanisms.
